Frequently Asked Questions
Can I bring my dog, my cat, budgie or pet chimp?
Unfortunately Skylines Rest operates a no pets policy.
Can I smoke in the property?
We operate a non-smoking policy in the property. Should you need to smoke we have no issue with you smoking outside in the grounds, providing that all cigarette litter is properly and safely disposed of.
Can I bring children?
The accommodation is mainly geared up for mountain bikers, and although we are not adverse to young bikers staying at the property, guests should be aware that there are steps to the rear of the property that may be unsuitable for children. If guests bring children, as stated in our terms, they are responsible for them and do so at their own risk.
Do you have plasma tv's, expresso machines, hot tubs and valet parking?
The short answer is no. The long answer is: Although we aim to provide comfortable, yet basic and affordable accommodation for mountain bikers, we do not claim to offer high end luxury style accomodation, the property is a normal terrace house set within the village of Glyncorrwg, which is within easy biking distance to the trails. Please review our website for all of our facilities. If you have any questions regarding our facilities or standard of accommodation, please contact us prior to booking.
How do we get keys on arrival?
We have a housekeeper resident in the village who will meet you at the property on arrival. We will send you details on how to contact her upon booking.
Is there any mobile phone signal in the village?
We have only tested T-Mobile and Orange. There is some signal from Orange phones, other networks are either unavailable or not guaranteed.
Where can we get food and drink?
The local facilities within the village itself are fairly limited, there is a pub as you enter the village called the Hall, where food can be ordered. There is a corner shop behind the property that sells ready meals, sandwiches, drinks and groceries. We have provided a number of menus of local/takeaway establishments that will deliver to the property. There are places to eat in Maesteg (10 mins), Neath (20mins) and Swansea (35mins)
