A plethora of things to see and experience!

The Afan Valley (Little Switzerland as it has been called) is not only ideally placed for mountain biking, but for a host of other activities and things to do and see.

This part of South Wales is blessed to have a diverse landscape of mountainous terrain, gentle rolling countryside, a spectacular coastline with beaches and craggy cliffs, and is close to the metropolitan capital city of Wales Cardiff and the up and coming Swansea, both with their share of entertainment, shopping facilities and cultural centres.

Local convenience store (50 yards) - open till 10.00p.m. and provides groceries, magazines, newspapers, etc and has DVD hire.

Post Office (50 yards)

Up the hill is the Hall (500 yards) where drinks are served.

Maesteg town is approx 10-15 minutes drive, with Tescos, shops and cafes/restaurants.

Further afield is Port Talbot with shopping facilities approx 20 minutes drive, (Tescos etc)

Neath is 20 minutes drive approx, has Tescos and Morristons as well as an indoor market, and good town shopping facilities, pubs and restaurants

Swansea is appox 35 minutes drive, and provides all usual City facilities, shopping, cinemas, leisure centres, bars, clubs, restaurants, and the famous Mumbles Mile.

Cardiff is approx 45 minutes drive. Wales capitol city, needs no introduction, and is the largest and best equipped centre for facilities.
